Woodwind Instrument Repair

BrassWindFix offer three main levels of servicing for woodwind instruments: -

General Service/Set-up

​

This level of work is designed to keep the instrument in good playing condition. Included is the replacement, where necessary, of pads, key corks/felts and springs. The mechanism is oiled, and to finish the instrument is adjusted and regulated throughout. Please note the instrument is not usually stripped down with this level of service.

Full Service

This service is designed to keep your instrument in premium working order, preventing unwanted problems occurring during everyday use. The instrument and mechanism is fully stripped down and the body, keywork, key-rods and barrels are cleaned. Where possible, keywork can also be polished upon request. Pads, key corks/felts and springs are replaced where necessary. The instrument is re-assembled, lubricated, and to finish is adjusted and regulated throughout.

Repad

The “Full Works”…….. your instrument will be as good as new at the conclusion of this work! The instrument and mechanism is fully stripped down and the body, keywork, key-rods and barrels are cleaned. There is the option for the keywork to be polished where possible, and leaking tone holes are sealed as required. Keywork tightening can be carried out where possible upon request. ALL pads, key corks and felts are replaced. The instrument is re-assembled, lubricated, and to finish is adjusted and regulated throughout.
