About BrassWindFix

BrassWindFix is a specialist woodwind & brass musical instrument repair business providing repairs, servicing and sales for all woodwind & brass musicians. Based in Wrington, near Bristol, BrassWindFix was established in 2008 by Justin Pavey, who is a freelance musician. He is a tenor and bass trombonist and plays all styles from orchestral to jazz, working regularly with top South West function band Doctor Chocolate and James Bond Tribute band The Name Is Band… Bond Tribute Band.

Justin trained in woodwind & brass musical instrument repair at the Leeds College of Music before taking up a position in the workshops of John Packer Ltd in Taunton, Somerset. It is here that he really began to appreciate the art of repairing, learning from Gary Dickinson and Gill Baker who are two of the most highly respected repairers in the UK.

With over twenty year’s service in the music industry, Justin not only has the knowledge and experience to produce work of the highest quality, but also understands a musician’s needs and requirements.

  • I have always found Justin’s craftsmanship to be of the highest quality. His patience and attention to detail in his repair work is outstanding. Whether it is a quick turn around for my own instrument or jobs of a more complicated nature, Justin is totally reliable and true to his word
